Texas Financial Advisor Bradley Holts Pleads Guilty to Wire Fraud

Update on The White Law Group’s Investigation of Bradley Holts.

Bradley Morgan Holts, a former financial advisor and stockbroker from Orange, Texas, has reportedly pleaded guilty to wire fraud in a case involving the misappropriation of funds from elderly investors. Acting U.S. Attorney Abe McGlothin, Jr. announced the plea on March 31, 2025, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Zack Hawthorn.

According to court documents, Holts, 54, previously worked for Capital One Bank and World Capital Brokerage. In 2021, Holts allegedly opened a fraudulent bank account under the name “Bradley Morgan Holts dba Invesco Investment Texas” (ITT). He allegedly used this account to deceive investors who believed they were investing in Invesco Ltd., a global investment management firm. Instead of investing the funds, Holts reportedly used the money for personal expenses.

Holts faces up to 20 years in federal prison. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled following a presentence investigation by the U.S. Probation Office.

SEC Allegations Against Bradley Holts: Theft from Elderly Clients

On February 27, 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a civil complaint against Holts, alleging that he misappropriated $186,382 from three elderly clients while registered as a broker in Denver, Colorado. According to the SEC, Holts told these investors he would invest their money in mutual funds from Invesco Ltd., but instead diverted the funds for personal use, including: clothing, tanning salons, adult and dating websites,  and divorce lawyer fees.

The SEC alleges that none of the three investors have been repaid and that Holts’ misconduct was “intentional, repeated, and egregious,” causing substantial losses to his elderly victims. The regulator was seeking a jury trial in the matter.

Bradley Holts Barred by FINRA

On July 28, 2021, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) permanently barred Bradley Holts (CRD #5819398) from the securities industry for failing to cooperate with an investigation into his conduct. The action followed allegations of misappropriation of client funds.
