SEC bars Martin Stancik, as he serves Prison Term for Fraud

According to reports today, the SEC has barred Martin Stancik, former advisor with Voya Financial, who is reportedly currently serving 65 months in prison for fraud charges.

Stancik reportedly pleaded guilty in July 2017 to one count of mail fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft in connection with allegedly misappropriating over $540,000 from four broker-dealer customers between 2003 and 2015 and purportedly forging a check payable to one of his clients, according to the SEC.

According to his FINRA BrokerCheck report, Stancik was registered with Voya Financial in Parma Heights, Ohio for 8 years. Stancik has three customer disputes on his BrokerCheck report.

Stancik admitted the SEC’s findings in accepting the bar, according to the SEC.
