The Permanently Barred of Henry Dean Watson
According to FINRA, Henry Dean Watson (CRD#: 1326969) has been permanently barred from the securities industry.
On December 14, 2016, FINRA staff sent a request to Watson for on-the-record testimony in connection with an inquiry into an arbitration claim filed by a customer against Watson. Watson acknowledges that he received FINRA’s request and will not appear for on-the-record testimony at any time.
According to Watson’s FINRA BrokerCheck Watson was registered with J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons in Greenville, SC from 01/26/2012 – 10/12/2016. He has three customer complaints that include allegations of excessive trading and commissions, unauthorized trades and portfolio mismanagement.
Brokerage firms have a responsibility to monitor their brokers and ensure that investments recommendations are in the clients’ best interest. When brokers make unsuitable investment recommendations, the firm they work for can be held liable for failure to supervise and responsible for investment losses.
