Healthcare Trust Inc. (HTI) – Illiquid Investment – Updated

The REIT reportedly terminated its offering in November 2014 after raising approximately $2.2 billion in investor equity. The Board of Directors approved a $17.50 net asset value per share of the company’s common stock as of December 31, 2018, representing a decrease of nearly 13.6 percent compared with HTI’s December 31, 2017 estimated NAV per share of $20.25.
Liquidity Problems – Tender Offer Price -$8.61 per Share
Unfortunately for investors, Comrit Investments 1 LP, a Tel Aviv-based investment fund, has just extended an unsolicited tender offer to purchase up to 5 million shares of Healthcare Trust Inc., for $8.61 per share. The offer reportedly expires on April 30, 2020.
This may be at a significant loss to investors, as the original offering price was $25.00 per share.
