iPath® Series B Bloomberg Natural Gas Subindex Total Return ETN Investigation
Concerned about your investment in GAZ?
Have you suffered losses investing in iPath® Series B Bloomberg Natural Gas Subindex Total Return ETN (GAZ)? If so, The White Law Group may be able to help you recover your losses by filing a FINRA arbitration claim against the brokerage firm that sold you the investment.
The iPath® Series B Bloomberg Natural Gas Subindex Total Return ETNs are designed to provide exposure to the Bloomberg Natural Gas Subindex Total Return Index.
According to the prospectus, the ETNs, issued by Barclays Bank, “are riskier than ordinary unsecured debt securities and have no principal protection. An investment in the ETNs involves significant risks, including possible loss of principal, and may not be suitable for all investors.”
The Index currently consists of the contract in the Bloomberg Commodity Index Total Return that relates to a single commodity, natural gas (currently the Henry Hub Natural Gas futures contract traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX)).
The COVID-19 global pandemic has caused securities markets to tank. Unfortunately for investors, GAZ is reportedly down -54.66% in the past 12 months. Various banks are calling mandatory redemptions of certain ETNs and have frozen the trading of others, causing investors huge losses.
