According to FINRA, Edward Dee Basham was recently barred from FINRA and from associating with any FINRA member firm. The sanction was based on findings that Basham engaged in a private securities transaction outside the scope of his regular employment with his member firm and without prior notification to the firm (presumably WAMU Investments, Inc.)
This is not the first time that Edward Dee Basham has been the subject of a securities fraud claim. According to his FINRA Broker Report, Edward Dee Basham has also been named in an arbitration/customer complaint alleging that Alexander misrepresented a mutual fund purchased by an investor.
