FINRA Bars Former Wells Fargo Advisor Ashlee Godfrey
According to public records, The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) has reportedly barred financial advisor Ashlee Godfrey (CRD#: 5889108) of Dalton, Georgia, from working as a broker.
Godfrey reportedly refused to provide on-the-record testimony requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation into misstatements she made to a customer of her member firm using an unapproved communication platform. FINRA stated in its findings that Godfrey misrepresented to the customer that certain preferred securities were insured.
Ashlee Godfrey reportedly has seven customer complaints on her record. Allegations include, “Client verbally complained that the financial advisor pushed him into high risk investments which resulted in losses,” and Clients alleged “that the advisor told him the investments were insured and guaranteed.”
