FINRA recently announced that Shawn Patrick Casuccio, a former financial advisor with Metlife Securities in Morgantown, West Virginia, has been barred from association with any FINRA member in any capacity.
The sanction was based on findings that Casuccio made material misrepresentations to induce customers to invest approximately $723,000 in fictitious investments. The findings further stated that rather than investing the money, Casuccio deposited approximately $667,000 in his personal bank account for his own benefit.
According to his FINRA Broker Report (CRD), prior to working as a registered representative with MetLife Securities, Casuccio was registered with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and The O.N. Equity Sales Company.
