Investigation of Dennis Van Patter

Van Patter was recently suspended by FINRA and entered into a Letter of Acceptance Waiver and Consent (AWC) to resolve allegations that he violated numerous NASD and FINRA rules by recommending investments that were not suitable for his customer.  According to his FINRA BrokerCheck, Van Patter has also been the subject of at least nine (9) customer complaints, each of which allege similar issues.

The White Law Group has represented a number of Texas investors in similar claims against VSR Financial.  In those claims, the firm has generally alleged, among other things, that the investments were (1) high-risk and unsuitable for our clients given their financial situation, needs and investment objectives, (2) that the risks of the investments were not fully disclosed to them, and (3) that VSR failed to conduct the proper due diligence with respect to the investments (as the firm is required to do by FINRA
