The White Law Group is investigating securities fraud claims involving ProShares Funds and other Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) sold to investors by their financial advisors. These funds subjected investors to substantially more risk than was disclosed and resulted in significant losses by investors.
The leveraged ETFs that The White Law Group is investigating include but are not limited to the following ProShares Funds:
ProShares UltraShort Russell MValue ETF (SJL)
ProShares UltraShort Russell 2000 (SKK)
ProShares UltraShort Real Estate ETF (SRS)
ProShares Ultra Financials ETF (UYG)
ProShares UltraShort Dow 30 ETF (DXD)
ProShares UltraShort Financials ETF (SKF)
ProShares UltraShort FTSE/Xinhua 25 ETF (FXP)
ProShares UltraShort Gold ETF (GLL)
ProShares UltraShort DJ-AIG Crude Oil ETF (SCO)
ProShares UltraShort Oil & Gas ETF (DUG)
ProShares UltraShort MSCI Emerging Markets
FINRA recently warned about the risks of leveraged ETF’s in a Notice to Members stating that they are “unsuitable for retail investors who plan to hold them for longer than one trading session, particularly in volatile markets.” Unfortunately for the investing public, many broker-dealers and financial advisors purchase these complex investments for their clients without fully understanding the products or their risks.
If you have questions about investments you made in Ultra ProShares or other leveraged ETS, The White Law Group may be able to help. For a free consultation, call the firm at 312-238-9650.
