Former Broker Edward Kahler Convicted of Fraud

Have you suffered financial losses as a result of investments made with Edward Kahler? If so, The White Law Group may be able to help you recover your investment losses through an arbitration claim with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

According to News4Jax.com, Edward Kahler has been convicted of mail and wire fraud charges. Kahler was a former employee of a subsidiary for AIG, Valic Financial Advisors, where he purportedly met many of his victims.

According to the reports, Kahler had done legitimate business with his victims for a number of years so defrauding them was apparently as easy as simply asking “them to write him a check.”

The checks Kahler received were between $50 and over $200,000. Kahler allegedly used the money for personal use, including lavish trips to vegas and expensive cars.

The foregoing information, which is publicly available, is being provided by The White Law Group.

The White Law Group is investigating the liability that Kahler’s employer may have for his actions, if any. When a FINRA affiliated broker fails to follow industry rules and steals from clients, to the extent that activity took place under a FINRA brokerage firms watch, the brokerage firm may be liable for negligent supervision and may be responsible for losses in a FINRA arbitration claim.

According to Edward Kahler’s BrokerCheck Report he worked with Linsco Private Ledger Corp. from 04/2000 – 12/2000, The variable Annuity Marketing Company from 11/2000 – 12/2001, and most recently Valic Financial Advisors from 11/2000 – 11/2007.
