Dean Harrison Grant Arrested on Fraud Charges

According to the Union-Recorder, financial advisor Dean Harrison Grant has been arrested by Georgia state authorities in connection with an investigation into a corrupt financial scheme that targeted several victims, including two senior citizens.

Grant, of Roswell, Georgia, reportedly turned himself in to authorities at the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office about 10 a.m. Monday.

According to the news story, Grant was reportedly charged with three counts of insurance fraud, three counts of theft by fiduciary, one count of forgery in the first degree, and two counts of trafficking a disabled adult or elder person or resident.

One of the alleged victims, an elderly woman, whose family member came forward to question a suspicious financial statement, reportedly invested $225,000 with Dean Grant Financial.  According to the allegations, there was a corresponding deposit in the account and corresponding checks written to Dean Grant for various sums of money.

Investigators allegedly found that there were other large deposits made with the same pattern during the same time frame. Deposits were purportedly made to Dean Grant Financial, and then checks in the amounts of $10,000, $20,000 and $25,000 were allegedly written to Dean Grant.

According to his FINRA BrokerReport, Dean Harrison Grant, is affiliated with MF Holdings Securities, in Milledgeville, Georgia since September 2014. Prior to that, he was registered with NYLife Securities in Milledgeville, GA.
